FFA Beef Backer Contest

June 17 - July 31, 2025

Contest Guidelines 

Promotion Purpose 

  • To encourage consumers to purchase and prepare more beef this summer. 
  • To recognize Tennessee FFA Chapters involved in promotion beef in their community.

Promotional Details

  • Chapter chooses the details of promotion (i.e., time, date, etc.)
  • Events can be shared on personal and community social media pages, but must be hosted by FFA Chapter or a community page. 
  • Chapter MUST utilize TN Beef Council resources they receive by completing the event projection form. 
  • Winners will be determined by evaluations turned in after promotion. 
  • Chapters MUST fill out the Evaluation Form and include a video that showcases their event details for the judging process. 

Judging Criteria

  • CREATIVITY 
  • Estimated reach of promotion in community
  • Established talking points for promotion 
  • Giveaways held at event 
  • Use of Beef promotions in local newspapers, magazines, radio, etc. 
  • Direct consumers to www.beefitswhatsfordinner.com for more recipes and beef information. 
  • Event must take place between June 17 - July 31, 2025. 


Top 3 Promotions will receive the following monetary prizes. 

1st Place Winner: $850   

2nd Place Winner: $600 

3rd Place Winner: $300 

 All checks will be made to the FFA Chapter. 

 *Please note that if you partner with one of the following organizations on your Beef Backer event, only ONE of you can submit a Beef Backer Evaluation Form for the event. * 

 County YF&R Group or County 4-H Group


Evaluations must be submitted by August 19, 2025
